BL pickets may halt the Montego

BL car workers who are on strike will picket the factory gates of the Longbridge plant in Birmingham today in an attempt to close the plant. This would threaten the newly launched Montego model.

Men who make engines at Longbridge for the Montego have not yet been directly involved in a dispute, which has halted production of Metros and Minis and made about 3,000 other workers idle.
