The Great British weather smiled on Silverstone for last weekend’s MGLive! 2011 show, the largest MG-themed event in the UK , which was again ably organised by the MG Car Club. Without a doubt, this year’s was bigger and better than ever. As well as displays of cars on the club stands, there was a full programme of racing (the results of which are available on the TSL website).
However, it’s the social side of the event which makes MGLive! an absolutely essential addition to your annual calendar. The mix of autojumble, racing, car sales, and specialist MG traders is second to none for MG fans… Russ Swift entertained the massive crowds with his driving display several times over the weekend and, together with an aerobatics display and an old Dakoka flypast, they were kept entertained all weekend.

Does anyone have any information about the MGF with the modified front bumper and the blue one with a V6 badge? How about an article, please?
The blue TF V6 was built by Chris Flannigan who still owns the car. It was orginally an MGF but was reshelled into a MG Sport & Racing seam-welded TF shell after someone crashed into it. The exhaust note is sublime! The car has been featured in MG Enthusiast magazine as a red MGF.
Chris is currently building another V6-engined F (in white) and recently completed a ZR V6.
The blue one with a V6 badge has a KV6 in it.

An MG ZR V6… Now that I would love to see (and hear). It’s a very tight space to get a K-V6 into but, if it was possible with a ZR, then it’d certainly be possible with a Maestro. Does anyone have any pictures and articles on it???
The ZR V6 is on the road but hasn’t been photographed officially yet – hopefully, that will happen soon. I believe there are other V6 ZRs in existence – one is a rally car.
