Doing a bit of casual browsing on AROnline tonight I found this-

http://www.aronline.co.uk/blogs/2011/08/06/concepts-and-prototypes-early-lc10/

Does anybody know if it’s still around? I know it was only posted last year but doesn’t mean anything sadly. Also is there a chance it could ever be made road legal?
Or did it even ever run?

This early LC10 picture has featured for much longer than a year – I saw it in the AustinRover.co.uk days.

@ David Dawson. I was wondering why I didn’t notice it last year. If it’s still around and that was posted that long ago, I wonder what sort of state it’s in now? It looked a bit ratty even then.

@ daveh. Thanks, I can sleep easy tonight. :)
You’re quite right, it’s in the car collection gallery.

Here’s the link-it makes for interesting viewing.

Just looked at that, and notice the T4 is the only gas turbine car.. where are the others they had?

Missing rear lights, and front indicators held on by duct tape would be MOT blockers for starters.
Are these bespoke items or from the parts bin of a Maestro (front lights are similar and rear lights look similar to the van / Disco, or off other BL/ARG products?

The seats look very mini-like, provide plenty of room though I’m sure the padding wouldn’t be great (and no way of fitting airbags, electric adjustment and DVD players! :) )
Wonder how big the likes of a modern Focus would feel with narrow seats? Would probably rival mk3 Granadas!

@ Will M. It reminds me a little bit of the early Land Rover Disco prototype somehow. That steering wheel looks very standard BL faire but I don’t know about the rest.

@ Jason1.8TC. I’m not actually sure what to think of the LC10. But it does wear the high ground clearance look better. I also think it looks a little bit French. It’s a lot less dull the Maestro though.
