You may or may not know that Top Gear are going to China tonight. I saw a (very) quick clip and it looks like they will be featuring the Roewe 350 or 550.
Of course they will rubbish them, because they’re not fire breathing supercars made from gold running on purified deer’s blood, but after the India incident, how many of you will be tuning in tonight to see the Roewes?
I know I will be.

I’ll be watching it! Let’s hope (against hope) that they don’t wind up insulting their host nation in the usual way. The advance picture from the program showed an MG6 in the studio; I’d assumed that they would be testing it there, but it seems like they might be doing it in its home country after all. That should make it interesting.

@ John. I’m actually pretty excited about seeing the Roewes. Even if they do say anything disparaging about the MG6, at least more people would have heard of it by tonight.

@ H.Jones. Somebody had to bring it up  Clarkson on the Roewe 750: “It aaaaaawful! It was aaaaaawful it came out, and somehow the chinese have made it eeeeeven worse. What I can’t stand about these chinese cars is, blah, blah, blah, blah…”

Clarkson liking it would put me off. James liking it would make me think it was a good car. Unfortunately the great unwashed take everything that Clarkson says as gospel.

Interesting what Clarkson said about Germany tonight: “I love Germany, I would like to move and live there”. At last something I can completely agree with him about; I’d like him to move there too!  The perhaps we can arrange to have his British citizenship revoked at the same time….

PS: I’m writing this during the “Star in a Reasonably Priced Car” bit. It’s the BBC’s equivalent to the commercial break; time to go for a pee, make some tea or catch up on email!
