Land Rover has now released the first official images of the Range Rover Evoque 5-Door which will appear in public for the first time at next week’s Los Angeles Auto Show.
Most of the Evoque 5-Doors’ dimensions are identical to those of the 3-Door version. However, the depth of the windscreen has been increased by 62mm and, while the roof panels are identical on both models, that on the 5-Door sits higher up and at a different angle – that model has 30mm more front headroom and 40mm more rear headroom. The 5-Door features three rear seats whereas the 3-Door has a 2+2 seating layout.
All Evoques will have MagneRide adjustable shock absorbers to improve on-road handling and will share the same engines: a 2.0 litre petrol turbo producing 237bhp and a pair of 2.2 litre turbodiesels with either 148bhp or 187bhp. The Evoque 5-Door will also be offered with two and four-wheel drive.
Both models will available with three trim levels: Dynamic, Prestige and Pure with the entry-level Dynamic having body-coloured lower panels as opposed to the black of the other two trims. Prices will start at £30,000 and both of the Halewood-built Evoques will go on sale simultaneously in more than 160 markets worldwide from next Summer.
