Rover commissioned OMNI design to produce a proposal for the company’s upcoming supermini – these were the results. These sketches show two interesting interpretations on the Rover theme – traditional (think, smaller 75) and contemporary. It would appear the contemporary design made the transition from paper to clay – and thanks to OMNI’s excellent modelling skills, it looks very impressive indeed…

When was this concept designed and built?

I quite like these drawings and, considering they are probably a few years old now (at least five) they have aged well. 🙂 They do look most Rover-like…

Incidentally, don’t you think the new Suzuki Swift needs a re-styled body now?

An interesting article… However, the tail lights on the silver model appear to be round and somewhat similar to the Auto Express ‘scoop’ picture of what was alledged to be RDX60 or is that just me?

  4. Rovert says:

The model doesn’t look anything like the sketches. The front lights, the rear window shape and the sides are totally different. The middle sketch looks like a baby Bentley Continental. Cool…

Does anyone else see the Volvo C30 in the back end?

Aside from that it looks quite nice

Have your say...
