MGLive! returns to Silverstone for 2011

The MG Car Club (MGCC) has today announced that MGLive! 2011 will take centre stage at Silverstone on the 24th to the 26th June, 2011 and that the event’s Race Programme will be using the Silverstone F1 Arena circuit.

The MGCC aims to build on the success of this year’s event when over 20,000 classic car enthusiasts descended on Britain’s premier race circuit and says that plans to make what the Club believes to be the world’s largest MG gathering even better than ever are well underway.

Julian White, the MGCC’s General Manager, said: ‘The growth of MGLive! over the past two years has been astounding and we’re excited about continuing this progression into 2011. MGLive! has quickly developed into one of Britain’s highest profile classic car events. We’ve worked tirelessly to secure the Silverstone’s F1 circuit for 2011 and its terrific news for the MG Car Club that we’ve been afforded the opportunity to use such a prestigious track.

MGLive! has quickly developed into one of Britain’s highest profile classic car events… Indeed, the MGLive! brand is now global with the Chinese MG Car Club staging an MGLive! event which is modelled on our own Silverstone celebration.” Julian White, General Manager, MG Car Club Limited

‘It underlines just how much respect MGLive! commands in wider motoring circles. Indeed, the MGLive! brand is now global with the Chinese MG Car Club staging an MGLive! event which is modelled on our own Silverstone celebration. We’ve actively sought feedback from MG Car Club members about what they’d like to see at MGLive! and suggestions we’ve gleaned will be put into place. MGLive! is the world’s largest MG event and we’re excited about what the organising committee can achieve in 2011.”

More details of what the MGCC’s ever-enthusiastic Press Officer, Chris Seaward, says will be an “action-packed weekend which will boast a full Racing Programme, an adrenaline-laced arena timetable, a bustling traders’ city and high-profile MG car displays,” should, no doubt, be available in the New Year.
