The First Auto Works Group, are one of China's most important automotive corporations, and own several car production facilities. Interestingly, two of these are intertwined with BMC>Rover's history.
According to Autoindex.org, FAW has its fingers in many automotive pies: "The FAW Group Corporation of China is the biggest automotive industrial conglomerate in China. There are 35 assembly plants scattered around the country, 11 sub-companies (controlled solely by FAW), 12 holding companies and 14 joint ventures. And there are 200 other enterprises related to FAW."
One of the cars FAW are responsible for is the 1997 Audi A6 - who would have thought this car would share a stable with the humble Maestro!
