MINI : New Sport Pack and MINI Yours Programme announced
A new Sport Pack, based on the current John Cooper Works (JCW) versions, will be available on all MINI Hatch and Convertible models from April, 2011.
The Sport Pack includes a special aerodynamic package with unique front and read aprons , horizontal slats on the fog lamp surrounds and a honeycomb mesh over the main air intake while the interior features a JCW black leather sports sterring wheel, cloth-leather sports seats and Piano Black trim. All Sport Pack-equipped MINIs are also fitted with MINI’s Dynamic Traction Control and Electronic Differential Lock Control together with lightweight 17in JCW cross-spoke alloy wheels.
Sport Pack prices start at £2150.00 for the MNI One and rise to £2995.00 for the MINI Cooper/Cooper D Convertible.
MINI UK has also just announced two Special Editions: the MINI Clubman Hampton and the MINI Pimlico. These new Special Editions promote a new customisation programme called MINI Yours which offers “unusual paint finishes, upholstery variants and interior colours, stylishly configured equipment packages and limited editions based on the now four model series in the MINI family.”
The MINI Clubman Hampton comes in a specially-created Reef Blue metallic paint with a silver roof and rear door surrounds and features Damson Red detailing inside and out. All Clubman Hampton Special Editions are fitted with the Chilli Pack and unique 17in twin-spoke alloy wheels. Prices start at £20,360.00 otr for the entry-level Cooper version of the Clubman Hampton while the Cooper SD variant of the Clubman Hampton costs £23,185.00 otr.
The Hatch-only MINI Pimilco Special Edition features Laser Blue metallic paint which was perviously only available on the MINI Cooper S and John Cooper Works, JCW 16in twin-spoke alloys, Piano Black interior trim and the requisite MINI Pimlico badging. The MINI Pimlico’s prices start at $14,465.00 otr for the MINI One-based version.
MINI’s two new Special Editions will both be on sale in the UK for 12 months from March, 2011.
