The Discovery 5 marked a change in direction for Land Rover’s mid-range off-roader. Gone was the rugged nature of the earlier cars, to be replaced by a smoother, more urbane style, previewed in the Discovery Vision concept in 2014. A full-sized seven seater at almost five metres in length, the D5 was packed with a huge amount of technology – as well as a smaller 2.0-litre entry-level model.
