The Aston Martin DB10 – the first car created exclusively for James Bond by Aston Martin – is to go under the hammer at a Christie’s auction in London on 18 February with proceeds donated to Médecins Sans Frontières.

Spectre – The Auction’ celebrates the release of the twenty-fourth Bond film on DVD with 24 special auction lots going under the hammer for charity, led by the Aston Martin DB10. Celebrating Aston’s half century with Bond, which started with the DB5, the DB10 gives previews future design direction for the next generation of the company’s cars. Production of the DB10 was limited to ten examples of the car, which was developed and hand-built by the designers, engineers and artisan craftspeople at Aston Martin’s Gaydon headquarters in the UK for the latest Bond film, Spectre.

The DB10 features a 4.7-litre V8 petrol engine and six-speed manual gearbox. It has an estimated top speed of around 190mph. The car features an all carbon fibre exterior, while the interior has been painstakingly handmade using fine luxury leathers, carbon fibre and aluminium.

  1. It reads and in proportions looks as if it is Vantage based rather than DB based. Does this mean 007 is moving down market!

The public, as opposed to us car nuts, are very sensitive about these things. When I told my brother I was thinking about buying a DB7 he said, “More Jonny English than James Bond then.” That is from a man who drives a Vauxhall Corsa and VW Touran.

  2. Cannot…. resist…. I’m going to say it…

Perhaps whoever buys it can put proper numberplates on it!!

Clearly a bit of detail lost between the white rear GB plate, and the retro black ‘Roma’ plate on the Jag.

Otherwise, as displayed at the Bond in Motion exhibition at the Covent Garden film museum, a gorgeous stunning car. A real lottery win dream.
