Tata Nano sales back on an upward path.

Following a disappointing couple of months’ sales, the Tata Nano has bounced back with a strong performance in December. From a low point of 589 units sold in November, a more promising 5784 Nanos were sold in December – still some way short of July’s high of 9000.

However, Tata Motors has been fighting back – the Nano’s warranty has been doubled to four years or 60,000km and financing options have been extended so as to make buying the car considerably easier – a counter to the increased prices. The introduction of a fixed-price Servicing Plan has also increased the desirability of India’s cheapest car.
