At British Leyland’s Triumph car plant in Coventry 110 internal drivers, who began a strike last Thursday, went back to work yesterday so that negotiations with union offcials could take place.
Again the negotiations over the drivers’ pay claim could continue today. If they fail to produce a settlement British Leyland’s disputes procedure will have been exhausted.
