Rolls-Royce has announced that it is seeking 10 new apprentices to join its apprenticeship programme from August 2014. The programme was launched in 2006 to train 16-24-year-olds alongside craftspeople at the Goodwood factory. Apprentices get the opportunity to learn about leather, wood, paint, engineering and assembly.
Those who wish to work with Rolls-Royce must go through a selection process which is designed to find the very best candidates. Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said: ‘I am delighted to announce the start of recruitment for this year’s apprenticeship programme. Our new apprentices will join a British luxury manufacturing success story and will be ideally positioned to take advantage of the unique opportunities available at Rolls-Royce.’
In addition to its apprentice programme, Rolls-Royce created jobs for 60 people in 2013 on six-month or year-long placements and further, similar positions are expected to be available in 2014. Those who wish to apply for positions at Rolls-Royce can apply via the Rolls-Royce website.

Good news for the lucky few, and lucky to learn a bespoke craft.
Very good news indeed.
Not setting the world on fire with a mass of apprenticeships but those lucky few will be very lucky indeed, an OxBridge of apprenticeships.
Indeed, would be a huge opportunity, those who get it can boast to their peers who are spending their apprenticeships under the oil sump of a Vauxhall Corsa… 🙂
Good luck to all those that apply!
they wont get no one as we are always being told in the uk our kids are no good.
