Sir Donald Stokes meets Prime Minister Harold Wilson at the Triumph plant on snow covered Merseyside. Stokes expresses his frustration at the slowness of merger negotiations and confesses he is thinking of making a bid for BMH. The Prime Minister advises him to exercise patience.
The Leyland Board also meets to discuss its options.
