Jaguar Lay-offs
A spokesman at the Jaguar plant at Coventry said yesterday that a further 300 men in the paint, body, and phosphating shops of the factory would be laid off today. Eight hundred car assembly workers were laid off yesterday because of production dislocation resulting from the strike of 4,500 men at the factory, which ended on Wednesday.
All the men will be back at work on Monday, the spokesman said.
