British Aerospace P.L.C. received clearance from the British Government to proceed with its $150 million, or $279 million, acquisition of the Government’s 99.8 percent stake in the car maker Rover Group P.L.C., the latest in a long line of privatization deals under the Conservative Government of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
