It’s that time of the year again. We’re all settling down at home, presents are bought and wrapped, cards are written and sent, seasonal jumpers adorned and, hopefully, the mulled wine is warming up on the stove, sending lovely aromas through the house.
The car’s parked outside and, for a day or two, thoughts are elsewhere, away from Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Ukraine war and strikes, but instead with loved ones – with maybe a thought for those a whole lot less fortunate than us around the world. There are lots of those out there.
The Christmas break is an opportunity for all of those at AROnline Towers to unwind. And what better way to do that than to settle down in front of the box with a nice hot drink, mince pie and sit down to re-watch some Minder on VHS. Popping the tape in for the Christmas special, hearing that iconic theme tune by Waterman and Kenny, it’s time to relive some of Arthur and Terry’s best exploits at the bar in The Winchester before the fairy lights from the lock-up go pop and the candles come out.
However you’re celebrating the festivities this year, be it here in 2022 (the year of three Prime Ministers, 76 Home Secretaries and two monarchs) or back in the 1970s, I do hope it’s a good one for you. Once again, it’s been a busy year at AROnline with so many stories posted, more precious memories captured for posterity and an increasing amount of you joining in – and coming back time and time again.
Do keep checking in over the break as there’s plenty to read, and we’ll be posting lots more to keep you amused, entertained and maybe even educated.
Thanks again for all your support during 2022 – it’s been brilliant.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you in 2023!
