The British Motor Corporation has bought a 230-acre site at Felinfoel, near Llanelli (Carmarthenshire), for a plant to produce car body pressings and sub-assemblies. The factory is expected to be in production by the end of next year, and ultimately to employ 3,500 workers. The corporation’s existing factory at Felinfoel, producing car radiators, is to be extended, and the labour force increased by 500.
