Two separate disputes are affecting production at the Triumph factories at Speke, Liverpool, where 1,100 men are on strike or laid off. The plant resumed production on Monday after a two-week shutdown because of a strike by jig operators.400 Men were laid off at British Leyland’s Triumph car plant in Coventry because of a shortage of car bodies supplied by the company’s Liverpool plant.
