Workers at the Standard Triumph car body factory at Speke, Liverpool, who took strike action on Wednesday over a pay dispute decided at a half-hour meeting yesterday to continue their unofficial action and to meet again today. About 1,000 people are employed at the factory.
When maintenance men stopped work in protest over pay they were joined by other workers and the factory was brought to a standstill.
