Cummins Engines, celebrates its 100th birthday in 2019. From 28 engines made in its first year to 1.5 million engines in 2018, the company has come a long way. Engines are supplied to 1200 vehicle and equipment manufacturing customers, for more types of application than any other supplier.
To mark this significant achievement, Cummins Darlington Plant and UK headquarters is holding a celebration day on 7 September to recognise its employees and their commitment to the company. As part of the celebrations, it has a number of spaces in its special interest vehicle display, highlighting current and long-gone customers.
Entrance on the day is strictly by invitation only, so vehicles must be registered in advance for tickets (two per vehicle) to be arranged. This will also allow access to the festivities, including a plant tour, food and entertainment.
There will also be the chance to catch up with former and present staff and engineers too. So if you, or anyone you know, has a Cummins-powered vehicle of interest, be it a bus, truck, off-road vehicle – or even something agricultural – and would like to be part of the event, please register through this link.
